DEPARTURE CHECKLIST:

~ strip the sheets from the bed and place them in the clothes hamper (in the master bedroom, next to the dresser), along with any dirty towels

~ throw out all perishable items from the refrigerator and cabinets; take out all trash

**be sure to leave the trash card in the bowl on the dining room table

~ bring in chairs, cushions, and any other items from the terrace

~ unplug the air conditioner, the coffee maker, both of the TVs, the printer, and the vacuum

~ double check that the oven and stove are fully turned off (all valves pointing straight up)

~ make sure that all heaters throughout the apartment are off (valves are fully turned clockwise)

~ put up all screens

~ close and lock all windows, inside shutters, and outside shutters

~turn off all lights

~ fully lock the apartment door as you leave (1 full revolution counter clockwise)
