Getting to Casa Angelini:

Our location ~

The apartment is located at via Michele Rosi 124 in the beautiful historic center of Lucca, Tuscany, Italy. The apartment is on the top floor of a 4 story building (52 steps, no lift). The panoramic view will reward your climb!

Flights from the U.S. ~

We generally fly from the U.S. to Pisa, Italy with a layover at London Heathrow Airport. The Pisa airport is 20 miles from Lucca, this is the closest airport. Taxis are available to Lucca from the Pisa airport for about 60 euros. You can also take the train, which costs less than 5 euro per person, and is only a 30 minute train ride.

You can also fly into these airports: Florence, Rome, or Milan

Trains are easy and efficient from any of these airports.

The train station in Lucca is a 20 minute walk to the apartment.

By Car ~

The apartment has no parking space. You must park outside the city walls and walk into the city center. Do not drive into the historic center (inside the walls) under any circumstances. You WILL be ticketed!

Casa Angelini Keys:

There are 2 keys. The smaller one is for the street door. The larger key opens the apartment door. While you are in the apartment, leave the key in the interior lock, as the door cannot be opened from the inside (when locked) without the key.

Be sure to have the keys in hand as you leave the apartment.

The massive ~ and massively-secure ~ apartment door locks automatically when you close it and there is no way to get in, in the event you forget your keys inside (more on who has extra keys later).

Entering the apartment:

You made it to Casa Angelini ~ our paradise in Lucca!

Use the small key to enter the building from the street. Turn on the stairwell light by pressing the lit up button to your right as you endure the building (under the mailboxes). Proceed to the top floor. Casa Angelini is the door to your left ~ with “Angelini” on the door. Use the larger key and turn clockwise to unlock the door. You have to turn it about 1 1/2 revolutions for the door to open.

Also, if you turn the key twice (when locking the door), the maximum security bolts go into place. Honestly, we only do this when leaving the apartment for weeks at a time. Lucca is an extremely safe place and we feel comfortable with simply shutting the door. But, please do whatever makes you comfortable.

WELCOME! WE HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR STAY
