RESTAURANT & BAR RECOMMENDATIONS

Most of the restaurants in Lucca have amazingly delicious food!

There are, of course, different options at different restaurants and it really just depends what you’re in the mood for at a particular moment. We hope this list helps to narrow things down a bit.

The exception to the “delicious food” rule are in the restaurants in Piazza Anfiteatro. These restaurants are best for a quick panini (sandwich) or an afternoon snack, a cocktail and some excellent people watching.

Watch the shoppers on via Fillungo while sipping a cocktail; they also have delicious food (salmon, bowls, salads, etc.)

Bar San Michele, Piazza San Michele, 1

Great for a cappuccino in the morning or a spritz in the afternoon in the beautiful Piazza San Michele; not a full restaurant, but they have good sandwiches and other goodies.

Bar Martini, via del Gonfalone, 6

Just down the street from the apartment! This is a great place for an afternoon aperitivi with friends.

MOST UNIQUE:

Trattoria da Ubaldo, via dell’Anfiteatro 67

You just have to go. There’s nothing else like it! And, Ubaldo is one of the nicest guys you’ll meet.

DELIVEROO:

Food delivery service! They will deliver to the apartment, but they will not come all the way up the stairs.
